How many years have you been walking past Rose Pest Solutions Chicago storefront at 1809 W North Ave without noticing it? If anything was noticed, it was probably the ancient taxidermy rat that’s been on display in those windows since at LEAST 1950-something. Right?
He’s our mascot, whether we like it or not! 🙂
Rose’s Storefront Gets a Makeover!
As proud supporters of NPMA’s initiative to raise Pollinator Health Awareness, our storefront window displays have been redecorated!! And we couldn’t have done it without the help from Leah Rogers and our friends at NPK Associates, who made the garden replica possible!

Why does a pest control company care about protecting bees?
When you think about Chicago Pest Control, I’m sure you think back to that scene in Arachnophobia where Dan Goodman’s character squashes a disgusting gooey spider on the deck as he walks into the house. I love that movie and will forever love Goodman’s character, but the truth about us Pest Management Professionals (that’s what we prefer to be called instead of exterminators, by the way) is that we’re Guardians of the Environment, protecting Mother Nature just as much as we’re protecting our customers’ health every single day.
I guess what I’m saying is we’re WAY more “Captain Planet” than we are “Delbert” (Goodman’s character) from Arachnophobia. And in an attempt to educate the public about what we genuinely care about, we chose the positive awareness association of promoting pollinator health as the theme for our makeover.
About the Display
Those of you who know me know that I live for art. 🙂 Well, this project was so exciting from start to finish and I was elbows deep in glue the entire time I was crafting away on each little element.

Everyone has his or her own threshold for the amount of pests they’re willing to live with. At Rose Pest Solutions, we’re very conscious of the fact that each person is entitled to this threshold.
