It’s one of our favorite times of the year: Chicago Wolves Hockey season. As we gear up for another great season with one of our favorite Rose Pest Solutions partners we wanted to take some time to look back on the fantastic 2016-2017 Chicago Wolves season and all the good they did for the community during the season.
SCORE FOR CHARITY:
This season, we selected Wolves goaltenders Phoenix Copley (traded in January) and Ville Husso as our players to take part in “Score For Charity,” a Chicago-area program that helps charities through local donations based on performance. For each save he made starting January 1st, 12 books would be donated to Bernie’s Book Bank, Chicago’s largest provider of quality children’s books. Husso made an impressive 710 saves (465 saves + 245 PO saves), meaning a whopping 8,520 books were donated! That’s incredible! We’re so thankful and proud of you, Ville!
BERNIE’S BOOK BANK:
As we mentioned above, the Chicago Wolves also partner with Bernie’s Book Bank, and the Score For Charity event with goaltender VIlle Husso led to almost ten thousand books being donated. We all know that’s great, but what does Bernie’s Book Bank do with the books? We’re glad you asked. BBB is Chicago’s largest provider of quality children’s books to at-risk children and they’ve distributed close to ten million books throughout the community! Ten. Million. Books. We’re so grateful to share Wolves partnership with a wonderful organization like Bernie’s Book Bank!
I LOVE WOLVES GAMES, LET’S HANG OUT!
The 2017/18 Season officially begins on October 14th with the Wolves 24th home opener, but you can catch some exhibition games starting September 29th. Check out their website for ticket info as well as the scoop on grabbing season tickets! We love Wolves games and attend as many as we can, so if you recognize any of our Rose Pest Solutions staff in the stands, come over and cheer with us!
Congratulations once again to the Wolves for an incredible season and another incredible contribution to the children in our community.
