Signs of Mice
Mice are curious, highly social, nocturnal nibblers that will easily gain access into the interiors of homes and businesses through openings the size of a dime. While they have a place in nature, the damage they can cause and the threats they pose to our health make them hazardous pests.
Here are some common signs of mice in the house:
- Droppings ⅛ to ¼ of an inch long with pointed ends
- Gnaw marks and damaged packages
- Burrow materials (insulation, cotton, paper, foliage debris)
- Greasy rub marks on walls along paths of travel
- Actual rodents themselves
Norway rats have been thriving on human error for centuries. Opportunistic yet cautious, these rodents are strong swimmers, climbers, jumpers and runners. With the ability to reproduce at just 5 weeks of age, a burrow of Norway rats can quickly multiply. They are known to contaminate food and spread viruses, diseases, fleas, and other vectors, making them threatening pests to homes and businesses.
