Rose Pest Solutions is kicking off the 5th Annual Books for Buckets reading program with their partners at Northwestern University Athletics and Bernie’s Book Bank now through March 31st!

Books for Buckets is a children’s book donation program to encourage literacy and book ownership throughout our communities. Every fall since 2018, Northwestern Athletics and Rose Pest Solutions encourage reading at home among youth in grades K-8 in the Chicagoland community. To date, Rose has donated 30,112 books to underserved children throughout Chicagoland through Bernie’s Book Bank with this program.
This Spring, Books for Buckets shifts its program to a community reading contest where kids can win prizes from local businesses for reading different amounts of books! Have unused children’s books you’d like to donate?
Bring them to us! You’ll find addresses below where you can bring your books. We ask that the books are in good condition (i.e. proper binding, no holes or ripped pages), and are age-appropriate for children birth-6th grade. This includes fiction and non-fiction titles, such as picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, mysteries, science fiction, sports, art, science, technology, and more! Bernie’s Book Bank asks: Please, no books pertaining to holidays and religion and no textbooks.
