Janelle Iaccino is Rose Pest Solutions’ Marketing Director. She’s a familiar voice (and laugh) on WGN Radio, and is the creative force behind Rose’s advertising, branding, outreach and more. Home Sweet Home Chicago on WGN Radio

On Saturday mornings, Janelle joins David Hochberg and trusted local experts on WGN 720AM Radio to take questions from listeners about various seasonal home-related topics. Since 2012, she has helped countless home and business owners solve and prevent pest problems. This network of professionals has been a solid resource for folks in Chicagoland and beyond for many, many years.

STEAM Education: Inspiring the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders

The Bug Girl mission is simple: help young people — especially young women — see themselves in science. Environmental science, entomology, and other STEAM careers are not just for scientists in lab coats. They are for curious kids who love the outdoors, who ask questions, and who want to make a difference in their communities.

Through hands-on programs and real-world conversations, we show students that the tiny things in our natural world play a big role in our food supply, public health, and everyday life. When kids understand how insects and ecosystems work together, they begin to see how they can be part of protecting our environment and building healthier communities.

Girl Scout Programs

Working with Girl Scout troops is one of the most rewarding ways to introduce young girls to environmental science. The programs are customized to specific badges and journeys and they focus on hands-on discovery, teamwork, and building confidence in their abilities. Girls learn about insects, habitats, and environmental stewardship while exploring how women are making an impact in science and sustainability. Most importantly, they see that science careers are achievable, meaningful, and open to them.

Public Health Educator

When seasonal pests make headlines or new concerns arise, local news stations often turn to the experts at Rose Pest Solutions for trusted, science-based information. As recognized leaders in the field, their team helps communities understand what to expect and how to stay informed throughout the year.

Rose’s staff entomologists serve as a valuable community resource by offering complimentary educational sessions for commercial businesses, hospitality groups, apartment and property management associations, schools, museums, zoos, and other organizations. Contact us if you’d like to know more about this.

School Visits

The Bug Squad’s school visits are designed to make natural science feel approachable, engaging, and fun. Students get the chance to see real examples of insects, learn how they impact our environment, and ask questions about careers in science.

Customized to grade levels, these engaging presentations connect classroom learning to the real world. Whether we are talking about pollinators, pests, or ecosystems, the goal is to help students understand that science is not just a subject — it is a pathway to solving real problems and protecting the world around us.

Janelle is wonderfully creative marketing professional! I work at a non-profit organization and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for over four years as a sponsor of my organization. She brings fantastic ideas for partnerships, boundless enthusiasm, great connections, and more. Janelle and her team attend our events as well as help amplify our messaging across a variety of platforms. When Janelle commits to an event, you know she will be there with a fun activity, nice handouts, and likely a bee costume as well!
