We’ve had a great year and hope you did too! As we step foot into 2019, we would like to take some time to reflect and share some of the great events we were a part of this past year. It was awesome to meet new faces and work alongside our good friends. We look forward to seeing you in 2019 as we plan even more great events that support our community and highlight your favorite local pest experts! Rose Pest Solutions takes great pride in the opportunities created through our various partnerships to greater serve our communities. Whether we’re answering termite questions on David Hochberg’s Home Sweet Home Chicago radio show on WLS or crafting paper bowl ladybugs at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, we are happy to be a visible working part of supporting healthy homes

We’re Here for You

By attending events, we are able to engage with those we serve, provide helpful tips, and gain beneficial feedback for how we can better support our valued customers. My personal favorite part of attending events is bringing a little bit of humor and fun to help take some of the uncomfortable-edge off discussing pest control.

We started 2018 with a dinner table full of handmade papier-mâché larger-than-life-size uninvited pests for the Midwest FoodService Expo. As if our well-dressed pests weren’t enough of a hit, (we received 7 votes for the best table contest and we weren’t even a contestant for that part of the event!) attendees will most likely remember us for livening up the floor with our remote control rat. We have a good time wherever we go. And you’re sure to learn a ton of pest facts from us while laughing with us! Scroll to the bottom for a slideshow of event highlights.

Baseball, Hockey, and Little League, Oh My!

Regardless of the season, we have teams to cheer on all year ’round. Our Corporate Partnerships with the Rockford Ice Hogs and Chicago Wolves are our favorite parts of winter. These players put on such a great show for families. Pyrotechnic shows, interactive mascot fun, games on the ice…it’s good wholesome fun for all ages and super exciting to be part of the team’s success!

The ideal weather this past summer paved the way for some great days to get outside and support our favorite baseball teams. Kane County Cougar fans were happy to comfortably enjoy the game and performances in the music garden, thanks to Rose Pest Solutions mosquito service prior to game night. Zippy had a blast hanging out with some little league baseball and softball teams up in Kenosha at the Boys and Girls Club, too!  20180525_170305

Crafting and Educating

Throughout the year we attended many family-friendly events at different museums, park districts, and even water parks. This past year Rose’s Bug Girls helped craft 150 paper bowl ladybugs, 30 egg-carton ants, 213 coffee filter butterflies, 60 paper mice, 35 paper birds, and 200 toilet paper roll bumblebees. While we weren’t getting covered in glue and recapping markers, we were quizzing children’s insect knowledge with our prize wheel and answering a wide range of personal pesky questions for adults. We will be attending Kohl Children’s Museum, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Knock knolls Nature Center, or local pop-ups throughout the year,

Books for Buckets

2018 marks the start of our on-going campaign “Books for Buckets” between Rose Pest Solutions, Northwestern University Men’s Basketball team, and Bernie’s Book Bank. For every 3-pointer scored by Northwestern’s Men’s Basketball team this season, Rose donates 12 books to an at-risk child in Chicagoland through Bernie’s Book Bank. Learn more about the great work Bernie’s is doing to build libraries for underprivileged children here. And keep watch on our book donation scoreboard rise into 2019!

Thank you for your support of Rose Pest Solutions in 2018. We look forward to seeing you in the new year as we continue to grow with our community.
