Pestworld 2017 happened last weekend in Baltimore, Maryland, and we’re pleased to announce that Rose Pest Solutions won some very prestigious awards at the event. Both the NPMA (National Pest Management Association) Pinnacle Award and the PCT (Pest Control Technology) Lifetime Achievement Award were presented to Bob & Judy Dold, owners of Rose Pest Solutions. Read on for more about the pest management awards!
Bob Dold was awarded the PCT Lifetime Achievement on Wednesday evening, and is the 5th recipient. This is a very prestigious award only given to those that have exemplified leadership in the industry for at least 25 years. In a surprise moment, all of Bob and Judy’s children and 5 of the grandchildren were on hand to surprise Bob as he accepted his award.
The honors did not end there because on Thursday morning Bob & Judy were awarded the NPMA Pinnacle Award for their contributions to the association. This is the highest achievement possible in NPMA. Again, the family was there to support Bob & Judy and honor their achievement.
As President of the National Pest Management Association there is no greater privilege than to participate in the selection of the recipient of our highest honor–the NPMA Pinnacle Award.I’d like to take a minute to talk about two extraordinary people. Each has experienced enormous individual success–both have served as NPMA President. Each has won multiple industry awards. Each has either served in their local associations or specialty industry groups. And each has freely contributed time, knowledge and resources to small PMPs across the country. Together, they’ve borne witness to significant change both in the industry–and within NPMA. And together they have done everything in their power to affect that change.Bob and Judy Dold are without question icons in our industry. But–also without question–they would balk at being described as such.Bob served as NPMA President in 1984. At that time the association was undergoing significant challenges and Bob provided the management and sensitivity to effectively navigate these challenges. During that time, Bob spent more than 180 days on the road to help weather the storm. In fact, many believe that without his leadership, the NPMA would not be here today.Judy also served as NPMA President in 2001. A former English teacher, Judy is a champion of paying it forward. She was the impetus behind NPMA’s mentoring program which, over the past 25 years has helped many of today’s leaders grow their business, increase their professionalism, and further develop their management skills. However, through all of these individual successes, it is together that they thrive. They are each other’s strength–both determined and tenacious as individuals, but a powerhouse as a unit. They have evolved their 150-year-old business–Rose Pest Solutions–into a PCT Top 30 pest management company with over 100 employees. They have raised four successful children and are enjoying their numerous grandchildren. And they are two of the most welcoming, caring and empathetic individuals I’ve ever met, and I am so grateful to be able to call them friends.Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great pleasure to announce the recipients of the 2017 NPMA Pinnacle Award–Bob and Judy Dold.
From the entire Dold family, and all of us at Rose Pest Solutions, thank YOU for being such an integral part of the success of our company. We take our commitment to you, our customers, very seriously, and we’re glad you’re along for the ride.
